UAMS uses emergency notification systems to quickly notify employees and students about risks of danger, hazards or
incidents via text, phone calls, desktop alerts on computers and audible announcements. Examples include severe weather,
utility failure, a missing person or a chemical spill.
UAMS issues alerts three ways:
RAVEALERT™
transmits alerts via texts and phone calls to users who sign up for this free service.
It provides rapid communication and can save lives. Click on the panels below for instructions on
how to use the UAMS RAVE portal, including how to set up emails or text messages and test them.
Alertus pushes notifications that display as ribbons across the top of computer screens or as popups in the
lower right corner. To clear an alert, click on it. Clearly-marked test alerts are sent
quarterly.
Audible announcements are delivered through overhead paging in buildings and outdoor speakers.
