If you have a role in the UAMS Incident Command System (ICS), Emergency Management Department recommends the following free courses from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The free courses are available at https://training.fema.gov/is/crslist.aspx .

• IS-100.C, Introduction to the Incident Command System
• IS-200.C, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
• IS-230.D, Fundamentals of Emergency Management
• IS-363, Introduction to Emergency Management for Higher Education
• IS-700.B, An Introduction to the National Incident Management System

To register for a course, you must first acquire a FEMA student ID (FEMA SID) at https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid.
